How much power reserve you have before the wheel can't keep you balanced.

Safety margin

The gap between what the motor is delivering right now and the maximum it can deliver. When this gap reaches zero, the wheel has no reserve left to keep you balanced if you ask for more - that is where overlean or cutoff happens. It starts at 100% (idle) and drops toward 0% as you demand more.

What eats your margin

Speed. Wind. Hills. Rider weight. Low battery voltage. Bumps. Sudden acceleration. Each factor alone might be fine. Stack three or four together and your margin disappears fast.

How to monitor it

EUC World shows safety margin as a percentage. Set an alarm at a level that gives you meaningful warning - not so tight that it beeps constantly, not so loose that it fires when it’s already too late.

555 take

Ride with 20-30% margin at all times. At low battery, that means reducing speed. In wind, reduce speed. Uphill at speed, reduce speed. Seeing the pattern? The margin is your life insurance. Spend it wisely. The field weakening and how EUC balances articles explain why that reserve disappears exactly when you most want it.
