Tiltback
Your wheel tilts the pedals backward, physically pushing you to lean back and slow down. It is the physical warning that you are approaching or hitting a condition the firmware does not want you to push through: overlean risk, cutoff, overvoltage, or thermal cutoff.
Never disable tiltback
Some riders disable it because it feels uncomfortable. This is like removing the seatbelt because it wrinkles your shirt. Tiltback exists because beeps alone are not enough - in wind, in traffic, with music on, you might not hear the alarm. Tiltback you will always feel.
555 take
Learn to ride with tiltback, not against it. When you feel it, decelerate smoothly. Fighting tiltback is how experienced riders end up on the ground.
