KingSong
KingSong Technology Co., Ltd. has operated in Shenzhen since 2012. The company presents itself more broadly as a personal electric vehicle maker covering EUCs, e-scooters, e-bikes, and other intelligent vehicles. Its 2026 company deck lists more than 18,000 m2 of factory area, 30+ engineers, 200+ workers, 6 production lines, 100+ patents, and users in more than 40 countries and regions. In our EUC context, KingSong remains one of the most recognizable Chinese EUC manufacturers and a long-time force in the commuter segment.
Philosophy
KingSong balances accessibility, smart features, and mature manufacturing. Their commuter wheels (14D, 16S, 16X, 18XL) built a loyal following with solid ride feel and reasonable prices. The Pro series modernizes these platforms with SmartBMS, OTA updates, and matrix displays. The S20/S22 was KingSong’s entry into high-performance suspension wheels - with mixed results. The F18 and F22 Pro show the newer F-series direction, including the F22 Pro with a 5500W motor, 12000W peak power, 3108Wh pack, 100mm suspension travel, and roughly 48 kg (106 lbs) curb weight.

What they do well
Ride feel and feature integration. Multiple forum users describe KingSong wheels as having a natural, intuitive pedal response. The commuter line-up covers almost every size bracket. KingSong also emphasizes in-house R&D, app features, quality control, battery and PCBA supply-chain depth, and global after-sales. The S22, once sorted, still rides beautifully.
What to watch out for
The S22 is one of the most documented quality-issue wheels in the EUC community. Stator slipping, bearing failures, and slider-kit problems are all well documented. The common aftermarket fix is the Hou Ningning CNC slider kit, while KingSong now also sells its own factory S22 Pro Slider Kit (Gen 4). Many S22 owners reported needing upgrades before the wheel became fully trustworthy.
The F22 Pro needs a different kind of caution. It is not a motorcycle, but it is absolutely a high-performance electric unicycle: seller claims cluster around 100 km/h (62 mph) riding speeds, official-style specs list a 45° climb rating and 140 kg (309 lbs) max load, and the one-wheel contact patch still gives you no margin for casual gear or scooter habits.
Aftermarket
Ironically, the S22’s issues created a thriving aftermarket. Slider kits, bearing upgrades, suspension mods, pad replacements - KingSong S22 parts are a cottage industry. For the commuter line, the mod scene is smaller but still active.
Pricing
The pricing story is simple: S22 Pro sits around ~$2,550, while the F22 Pro is closer to ~$3,300. With the F22 Pro, the important part is not the headline name but the exact version. Current listings usually mean the 3108Wh Samsung 50S build; older or alternate F22 pages with 2738Wh / 5000W specs are a different thing and should not be treated as the same wheel.
555 take
KingSong makes wheels that often ride great and win people over on feel, but the S22 is a reminder that ride quality does not cancel out mechanical issues. For commuters, the Pro line looks promising. For the S22: buy only after confirming the motor and slider revisions are sorted, and budget for aftermarket if you are buying an older unit.
